Federal filings. The whole filing calendar, filed and proven.
MCS-150, UCR, BOC-3, IRP, Form 2290, insurance, and IFTA, tracked per period with a history that holds up in an audit.
Running a carrier means a rotating calendar of federal and state filings, each with its own agency, cadence, and consequence for missing it. Dotra tracks the ones that apply to your operation, alerts you before each due date, and keeps a permanent per-period history of what was filed and when, with the supporting document attached.

The Problem
Every filing has a different clock. Miss one and the fines start.
The MCS-150 renews every two years on a schedule set by your USDOT number. UCR is annual. Form 2290 follows the tax year. IFTA comes due four times a year. IRP follows your plate state, insurance follows your policy, and BOC-3 just has to exist. No two run on the same calendar, and a lapsed filing can mean fines, a deactivated USDOT number, or authority revocation.
How Dotra fixes it
The Dotra approach.
Tell Dotra which filings apply to your operation and each one gets a card on the filings dashboard: current status, due date, and a link to the supporting document. Every due date lands on the deadline calendar with email and SMS alerts at 60, 30, and 7 days out, then daily through the final five.
Filing history is permanent by design. Each period gets its own record, renewals create a new entry instead of overwriting the old one, and history can't be deleted. Insurance filings carry the details that matter: carrier, policy number, coverage amount, a flag if coverage falls below the required minimum, and your agent's contact, so Dotra can send the renewal request to your agent before the policy lapses.
How it works
From filing type to filed and proven.
Dotra turns the filing calendar into a dashboard you check, not a list you have to remember.

What federal filings does a trucking company need?
Most interstate carriers need an MCS-150 biennial update, annual UCR registration, a BOC-3 process agent designation, IRP apportioned plates, Form 2290 heavy vehicle use tax, proof of insurance on file with FMCSA (MCS-90), and quarterly IFTA fuel tax returns. Hazmat carriers add PHMSA registration. Dotra tracks each one that applies to your operation. What is the MCS-150 biennial update?
The MCS-150 is the motor carrier identification report every carrier must update at least every two years, on a month set by the last digits of the USDOT number. Missing it can mean fines and deactivation of your USDOT number. Dotra tracks your biennial date and alerts you well before it arrives. What is UCR registration?
The Unified Carrier Registration is an annual fee-based registration required for carriers operating in interstate commerce. It's due each year for the following calendar year. Dotra tracks the annual deadline and stores each year's registration as its own permanent record. How does Dotra track IFTA?
Today, Dotra tracks each IFTA quarter as a deadline and reminds you before it's due. Full IFTA record tracking, mileage by jurisdiction pulled from your ELD plus uploaded fuel receipts, is built and coming soon alongside the Motive and Samsara connections. Can filing history be edited or deleted?
No. Filing history in Dotra is permanent per period. Renewals create new records instead of overwriting old ones, and deletion is blocked at the database level, so your filing trail stays intact for audits.
